Flintshire’s Lib Dems have appointed a new chairman.
Andrew Parkhurst is a chartered risk manager and author and has lived in Flintshire for more than 20 years.
He is a past president of the Insurance Institute of Liverpool and has been involved in community activities, currently being trustee and treasurer of Ysgol Y Foel PTA, trustee of Gŵyl Cilcain and treasurer of Cilcain Show.
He said: “I am proud to lead the growing army of Flintshire Lib Dems who genuinely care about creating a well governed society that is fair, compassionate and tolerant and who are prepared to stand up for what they believe in.”
