KINDHEARTED martial artists are offering free lessons after the new year to promote positive mental health.

Joanne and Tom Evans from Buckley started Seishin Ryu Ju Jitsu club three years ago.

It now has 150 members aged from seven to 60 and provides classes at Buckley Leisure Centre and Bryn Coch School in Mold.

Mr and Mrs Evans have arranged a post-Christmas gift for members of the community who wish to try their activities, as well as existing members.

Mrs Evans, 34, said: "We know how stressful and expensive Christmas is and we thought why not promote positive mental health and fitness.

"So for the whole of January anyone who wants to come to any of our classes whether it is self defence, ju jitsu or fitness can do as many as they want free of charge."

Anyone who wants to find out more about the club's classes can search for 'Seishin Ryu Ju Jitsu Mold / Buckley' on Facebook.
