A MAN has admitted stealing a bottle of vodka from a supermarket.
Appearing at North East Wales Magistrates Court, Stephen Alun Jenkins pleaded guilty to taking the alcohol from the Aldi store in Buckley on November 3.
Justin Espie, prosecuting, said Jenkins, 53, concealed the bottle before leaving the shop whereupon he was apprehended.
Michael Pugh, defending, said Jenkins, of Meadow Rise, Vounog Hill, Penyffordd, "held his hands up" and admitted the offence straight away.
Mr Pugh told the Mold court his client "used to drink to excess" but now only drank at weekends thanks to support from his long-term girlfriend who shared a home with him.
Magistrates' chairman Kevin McCallum fined Jenkins £120 and ordered him to pay £15 compensation to Aldi as well as a victim surcharge of £30 and costs of £85.
