NEW life-saving equipment has been installed in a Wrexham village.

The Vittoria Healthcare Pharmacy on Trinity Street, Rhostyllen, has taken delivery of a new defibrillator with support from Esclusham Community Council who backed a bid for £1,300 grant funding.

Councillor Phil Penk said: “The community council decided to provide a defibrillator outside the parish hall in Rhostyllen on our own.

“When it became clear the chemist was looking to donate one for the community Dave Griffiths, the pharmacist, approached us for help with the grant application which was successful and got us the second one.

“It is a big thing at the moment to have more life-saving equipment available and we have got it on the outside of the building for anyone to use in an emergency.”
