A FLNTSHIRE high school is holding a Christmas concert to raise money for the homeless.

St David's High School in Saltney have organised the charity event for Wednesday December 12 at 6pm.

The concert will see performances from the local 'Phoenix' and 'Vocalize' choirs, with Vocalize recently releasing a single in aide of the homeless.

There will also be a performance from the school choir, and refreshments will be available during the interval and there will various Christmas prizes to be won in the raffle.

Tickets are £3 each or 2 for £5 and all proceeds from the event will go to Chester Aid to the Homeless.

Craig Burns, Headteacher, said: ''The students have been practising really hard and we can promise visitors a wonderful evening of entertainment.

''I hope we have a good turn out to help support the homeless in these especially difficult winter months.''
