POLICE have reassured people that an incident at Manchester's Printworks last night was not a terrorist attack.

There were originally fears that it was a copycat of the Westminster Bridge attack when a vehicle deliberately drove at pedestrians, killing and injuring them.

Emergency services attended the Withy Grove entertainment complex last night due to a reported collision between a car and a pedestrian at a crossing.

In a police tweet, officers said the incident involved a collision between a car and a pedestrian at a crossing.

It's not known whether the pedestrian was injured or not.

Withy Grove and surrounding streets were closed for a period but have since reopened.
