Police are investigating an incident where a woman had eggs thrown at her house and was taunted about her mother’s recent death.

NWP received reports of a woman from Princess Avenue, Buckley, who had a “number of eggs thrown at her house” on Saturday at around 7.30pm.

Sgt Hughes said four youths then taunted the young woman in relation to the death of her mother and “ran away wearing hoods.”

“This has caused extreme distress to the lady and we are asking anyone to contact us directly on 101, quoting reference number 184000 38355. We are appealing to residents by the nature of the circumstances of this lady. What they did was despicable and cruel.”
