LLANSANNAN progressed to the Presidents’ Cup third round with an emphatic 4-0 win at Llanfairfechan Town Reserves.

The Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division leaders made light work of their tricky tie in another accomplished display, with Gari Evans and Tom Lewis’ side opening the scoring on 15 minutes when Liam Jones finished well.

Things got even better for the visitors soon after when Gwion Evans hit the target after 25 minutes, and they all-but sealed their place in the hat after the interval when Efan Batty notched a third with 55 gone.

There was further cause for celebration in the closing stages when veteran forward Geraint Jones continued his excellent form with another well-taken effort on 78 minutes to round off the scoring.

Llandudno Amateurs went goal crazy to advance after securing an astonishing 16-0 victory at Rhuddlan Town Reserves.

Prolific forward Steve Kirk was in ruthless form throughout and hit five in the rout, with Scott Court (2), Joe Jones (2), Ryan Williams, Mike Lauchlan, Mike Chapman, Gaz Sharp and David Hughes also finding the net for the away side.

A brace from Callum van Werkhoven was the catalyst behind Machno United’s 3-2 cup success at Llysfaen, and Rhuddlan Town also booked their spot in the next round as goals from Danny Rees and Jordan Bellham gave them a 3-1 triumph at Rhos United.

Two superb strikes from Tirion Griffiths played a huge contributing factor in Cerrigydrudion’s impressive 3-1 win at Henllan, and Llanfairfechan Town comfortably avoided a banana skin to emerge victorious 8-0 at Penrhyn Bay Dragons.

A treble from Jamie Haggas did the majority of the damage, with Ellis Jones also helping himself to a pair of efforts.
