RHYL director of football Eddie Maurice-Jones said there is still more to come from his side after they secured their fourth successive victory at Buckley Town.

The Lilywhites have been in sensational form of late and made it ten goals in their last two games with a 5-2 win at the newly promoted Huws Gray Alliance side, and Maurice-Jones was highly complementary of his squad and the performances of front three Mike Pritchard, Kristian Pierce and James Murphy in particular.

He said: “The lads are starting to come together, getting better and showing more fight within the group. We had to grind it out at times but overall it was a convincing win.

“I said last week when our front three are on form their movement and understanding of each other’s game is brilliant and the best in the league in my opinion. They were exceptional and it was a shame that two of them had to come off due to getting yellow cards as they were really enjoying themselves.

“Matty (Cook) took both his goals really well which is surprising as he is more of a holding midfielder, and to be fair the first one came at a good time as we were under pressure and needed the extra goal to create some space and you could see what it meant to the lads.

“It is good to see different people contributing with goals because it puts pressure on if you are relying on one or two and I thought everyone was brilliant.

“There is a lot of confidence within the group and they are firing on all cylinders. We are not home and dry yet and there is still a lot to improve on in terms of making silly mistakes and getting rid of some naivety, so once we rid ourselves of them there is going to be a lot more to come from us.”
