LLANDUDNO manager Iwan Williams has secured the services of Ben Clark on a short-term loan deal from JD Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints.

The talented youngster is widely regarded as one of the brightest young prospects anywhere in the region, and the midfielder has already featured in the TNS first team under Scott Ruscoe on a number of occasions.

He came through the club’s thriving Academy system and signed a professional deal at the club in 2017 after impressing for their U16 side.

Clark has also represented the Under-18 England Independent Schools Football Association (ISFA) squad during his stint as a pupil and sports scholar at Oswestry School.

The Tudno boss got top see Clark up close during their heavy Nathaniel MG Cup defeat at the hands of the full-timers in midweek, and the manage has promised more new additions in the coming days in the hope of turning around their top-flight fortunes.

Williams, said: “He is young, fearless, energetic and has real good quality.”

“I’ve been a long admirer of Ben since my previous club when I played TNS last season in the Nathaniel MG Cup.

“He dominated the midfield that game as he did against us on Tuesday following the disappointing defeat.

“Signing Ben will be a big plus for us but hopefully won’t be the only one coming through the door in the next coming days.”
