A ROBBERY charge against two Wrexham men has been dropped after they admitted alternative charges.
Robert Graham Jones, 26 and Breck Williams, 23, accused of robbing a shopkeeper at Rogers’ Newsagents, Rhosymedre near Wrexham.
Jones, of Alwen, Plas Madoc, Acrefair and Williams, of Ffordd LLanerch in Penycae, denied robbing Rasaratnam Shahjahan of food, wine and money valued at £10.
But they both admitted theft and affray and Williams admitted having a lock knife.
The two men – who appeared at Mold Crown Court via a live television link from Altcourse prison in Liverpool – then admitted a later affray in Smithy Lane, Wrexham, when both admitted having a broken bottle as a weapon.
Both also admitted possessing knives.
The prosecution said the pleas were acceptable.
Judge Niclas Parry remanded both in custody pending sentencing at a later date.
