CHILDREN at Ty Pawb have been given the opportunity to personally get into the Halloween spirit.

All through half term Ty Pawb has been running various craft activity sessions to keep the little ones occupied and on Wednesday attendees had the chance to create their own Halloween costume.

With the materials provided, children made their own masks, hats, accessories and full costumes to go trick-or-treating in.

Heather Wilson, volunteer coordinator at Ty Pawb, said: "The event has been really well received, we've had around 60 participants every day for the last few days. This event is a bit different from everything else, but this space is being well used."

Rachel Banks said: "We've been making trick-or-treat bags. It's nice that local events like this are going on here."

Marja Bonada, who was helping children with the more technical aspect of the costumes, including the sewing, said: "The kids are coming in with the ideas, and making them into simple costumes and the parents are helping them too."
