BANGOR City made it two wins from as many contests since the departure of Craig Harrison with a 2-0 triumph at Penrhyncoch.
The Citizens produced an efficient display to emerge from their long trip to the Roosters with all three points, and the result leaves them sitting in fourth spot in the Huws Gray Alliance standings ahead of their home clash with newly promoted Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochant at the VSM Stadium on Saturday (2.30pm).
Director of football Stephen Vaughan Jnr once again took charge of the squad and extended his perfect record in the dugout alongside Luke Purcell and Alan Lewer, but despite dominating possession for the majority of the first period they were unable to convert any of the chances that came their way to leave it with all to play for at the break.
The second period saw the visitors continue to probe and they were finally rewarded on 52 minutes when former Llandudno and Colwyn Bay standout Marc Williams demonstrated tremendous composure to find the net and open the scoring.
This was swiftly followed by another from the away side, and this time it was Jake Phillips who was the beneficiary of some neat approach play to fire in a second to reflect their dominance.
Credit to the hosts, they responded well to the quick-fire setback but were unable to find a way past the resolute City rearguard who were marshalled superbly by Sam Barnes to enable them to pick up another morale boosting victory.
One concern for Vaughan Jnr will be the injury suffered to skipper Anthony Stephens, who is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after being taken off during the clash with a broken jaw that required immediate surgery.
