A VEHICLE blaze in Rhostyllen was deliberate, fire chiefs have confirmed.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to an incident involving a van in Spring Road at 10.10pm last night.

One crew from Wrexham attended the scene to find the blaze had already been extinguished.

A spokesman for the fire and rescue service told the Leader the incident, which resulted in two square metres of damage to tyres and a side panel, was caused deliberately.

It was started by paper being set alight near the vehicle's rear wheels, the spokesman added.
