OLD Colwyn produced their finest performance of the season to secure a 4-2 North Wales Coast FA Junior Cup first round victory over Cerrugydrudion.

The Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division side were at their ruthless best to book their place in the next round of the competition, with prolific forward Joel Massam once again on top form with a brace to lead his side to glory.

Ryan Watson and Jake Parkes also found the target for the home side, with a brace from Tirion Griffiths not enough for the struggling visitors to make a fight of things late on.

Also into the second round hat are in-form Llandudno Athletic, who displayed their outstanding attacking prowess once again to emerge from their trip to Llandegfan with a comfortable 7-0 rout.

There was no such luck for Penrhyn Bay Dragons, who turned in a good performance before eventually falling to a 4-3 home reverse at the hands of Arriva Bangor.

Solomon Dickens continued his fine recent form with a well-taken double, with Luke Jones also converting a chance for the hosts as they exited the competition at the first round stage.

Rhos United had better fortunes on their travels to seal a 6-2 triumph at Waunfawr, with Phemmy Alison enjoying a sensational afternoon in front of goal to emerge from the tie with a four to add to his superb season tally.
