A REALITY television star will swap the party scene for the theatre stage as he takes on the leading role in a Christmas pantomime.

Jordan Davies, best known for his role as a rep on ITV2's The Magaluf Weekender and its successor Ibiza Weekender, has been confirmed as the headline performer in 'Jack and the Beanstalk', which is being performed at the Stiwt Theatre in Rhos, from December 8 to 31.

Having performed as the Genie of the Lamp in Aladdin at The Epstein Theatre in Liverpool last year, Jordan is no stranger to the panto world but admitted he was feeling nervous ahead of taking on his first lead role.

He said: "Being on a reality show is much different to being on stage in a pantomime, it's two very different worlds but I enjoy being part of both.

"Although I've performed in pantomime before, I do know I've got a challenge on my hands, starring as the title character. I can't be a naughty boy, which is what people will expect of me. I've got to knuckle down, especially as I'll be singing this time."

The 26-year-old has also appeared on Ex on the Beach and competed as a housemate in Celebrity Big Brother.

This autumn, Jordan will also be appearing on The Weekender Boat Party on ITV2.

Originally from Cardiff, Jordan says he's looking forward to performing to a Welsh audience.

He said: "I've heard good things about The Stiwt, I know Wrexham people are good fun, as I've got some friends from the area, and they'll be coming along to support me, which is brilliant.

"I'm looking forward to getting started and getting in the festive spirit. Christmas is the best time of the year, everyone's spirits are high, and that's what panto is all about."

This will be the ninth year Liverpool-based LHK Productions have produced the Christmas pantomime at the Stiwt Theatre.

Lee Kelly, producer of the pantomime and managing director of LHK Productions, said: “It's a pleasure to announce Jordan as our headline star in this year's pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk.

"Everyone who watches our panto at The Stiwt always has a brilliant time, and this year's will be no exception. I guarantee Wrexham is in for a treat with Jack and the Beanstalk."
