A CASH machine was left damaged after thieves attempted to cut the metal to steal money.
North Wales Police (NWP) were called to Caergwrle Filling Station, Mold Road, around 3.30am on Wednesday.
An NWP spokesman said: “We were called at 3.33am following reports that an attempt had been made to steal the ATM at the petrol station in Caergwrle. On attendance officers found damage to an ATM.
"Inquiries are currently ongoing and anyone with information or who may have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area is asked to call Mold CID quoting reference W130264."
