POLICE officers were called to an incident last night after concerns were raised for the safety of an individual.
Officers were called to West View, Penyffordd about 6pm and took several hours to resolve the situation safely.
A spokesman for North Wales Police, said: "Police negotiators attended and the man was eventually detained in the early hours of this morning and arrested for public order offences."
The male remains in custody in Mold and no-one was hurt during the incident.
Residents were thanked by the South Flintshire policing team, who said on social media: "Thank you to the patient local residents who had their evening disrupted. No threat to the public and a vulnerable man is now safe."
