A TOWN nightclub has pledged support to a children's hospice.

ATIK nightclub in Wrexham, led by Darren Roberts has signed up to support Hope House Children’s Hospice.

Staff wanted to channel their team’s energies and support into a local charity and opted to get in touch with Hope House.

Mat Evans, general manager of ATIK Wrexham, said: “Owners of ATIK Wrexham, The Deltic Group have always taken a keen interest in raising money for disadvantaged children across the United Kingdom via its registered charity Echo. "Only last year Echo donated £5,000 to Hope House in Oswestry due to collections made by ATIK Wrexham.

"Echo Charity is core to the values of the company as we always aim to give something back to our local communities for their valued and loyal custom.

"Hope House is a highly regarded charity and raises money for very similar causes as Echo, therefore anything we can do to help we will always try to jump in and do our part.''

Cat Dowdeswell, Hope House area fundraiser dropped off their fundraiser chart to help them promote their fundraising efforts to customers, suppliers and visitors.

She said: “The chart also acts as a visual reminder for the team to keep thinking of new ideas as they move nearer their fundraising target.

“The charts are brand new for this year and we hope lots of local businesses want to show people how they are reaching their personal fundraising target for Hope House”.

ATIK are supporting Hope House at The Chester Racecourse in the coming weeks by sending volunteers to help collect donations and are also ready to decorate their Corporate duck ready for Harry’s Duck race on August 12 at Pontblyddyn Cricket Club.

They will also be taking part in Hope House’s first Colour run at Hawkstone Park Follies near Whitchurch and the team cannot wait to get started. Mat is also keen to get the team to come up with their own fundraising ideas either based at ATIK or in Wrexham itself.

Hope House Children’s Hospice supports children with life threatening conditions in Wrexham and across North and Mid Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire.
