A CANNABIS farm has been discovered in a leafy suburb of Chester.
Officers with Cheshire Police swooped on a property on Devonshire Place in Handbridge at around 12.30pm today (Thursday, July 19).
They later wrote on Facebook: “Positive drugs warrant completed in Handbridge, Chester. Large cannabis grow located and one male arrested.
“If you have any concerns about this activity in your area please call us on 101 or contact us via the Cheshire police website.”
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: "Within the property officers discovered a quantity of what is believed to be Class B drugs (cannabis plants).
"A 27-year-old man from Chester was arrested at the scene on suspicion of production of a controlled class B drug. The man is currently being held in police custody where he is assisting officers with their enquiries."
