A CONFIDENCE-boosting teddy bear picnic was enjoyed by future newcomers at a Flintshire school.
St Mary's CP in Nercwys hosted their annual teddy bear event, which is now well into its second decade according to Janet Meaden, head teacher.
Mrs Meaden said: "We hold this event every year for our new-comers, which gives a little bit more confidence before they come to the school in September.
"Other nursery children also enjoy taking part, and it's a nice little exercise for children to get to know each other and for the older ones to show them around the school.
"It all culminates in a teddy bear picnic in the garden, and we can always find a teddy for someone who has forgot theirs.
"It's a very nice, cute little event."
