The Leader:

WREXHAM would be welcomed back with open arms if they decided to stay at the same hotel in Vilamoura, Portugal.

The Reds have headed out to the Algarve for a pre-season tour for the second year in a row and are once again based at Parque Mourabel.

Fiona Lopes, the Guest Relations manager at the hotel, loves having the players, management, sponsors and supporters at the complex.

“I was here when Wrexham came last year as well,” said Lopes.

“We have enjoyed having Wrexham here thoroughly.

“No other football teams have been here at the moment but we have had a lot of requests for groups.

“We like Wrexham because it is nice and laid back when they are here and good fun.”

Lopes and all the other members of staff certainly got in the spirit of things ahead of Wrexham’s friendly against Louletano DC last night.

They all sported Wrexham tops and have nothing but praise from everyone in the party.

“The players and management are marvellous,” said Lopes.

“Very friendly, very well behaved, very outgoing. The group as a whole seem to enjoy the sunshine, how laid back Portugal is and just seem to generally gel with everybody around.

“We would have Wrexham back for a third time, they are top of our list!”
