A MOTORBIKE described as a Wrexham man's pride and joy has been stolen from the driveway of his home.

Daniel Berg, 21, who lives on Coed Efa, New Broughton, had his Derbi Sendi Baja motorbike stolen at some point in the early hours of this morning.

Mr Berg, who lives with his parents, has a job at the Ice Cream Farm in Tattenhall and used the 125cc motorbike to get to and from his place of work.

His angry and frustrated dad Robert, said it was the fourth time in the past two years that a motorbike had been stolen from the driveway, with only one of those being found by police and recovered.

Mr Berg Snr said: "It's sadly not the first time this has happened and it's not likely to be the last either.

"How's he supposed to get to work now he doesn't have his bike?"

Mr Berg Snr, who delivers coal, is always up early of a morning and said he noticed the bike had been stolen, some time after 5am this morning.

He added: "There have been reports of people being in the area who aren't from around here and you do wonder whether they've been having a look around for potential targets.

"He's only had the bike since March, and its not exactly one you can just go and easily replace as its worth a bit of money."

A spokesman for North Wales Police confirmed the motorbike theft was reported to them shortly before 6am.

He said: "Anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of the motorbike are advised to call 101 using crime reference number W094800."
