A MAN has been taken to hospital following a road incident in Wrexham tonight.
North Wales Police (NWP) officers were forced to close the A483 in both directions near Stansty Bridge in Wrexham.
Motorists were urged to avoid the area as police dealt with a "distressed" man who was later taken to hospital, an NWP spokesman confirmed.
A spokesman added: "NWP would like to thank motorists for their patience this evening due to the closure of the A483 at Pandy, Wrexham.
"It was essential both for their safety and that of a distressed male who has now been taken to hospital to be checked over.
"The road is now open in both directions and the officers involved have also been thanked for their professionalism."
