It was a family affair at a Wrexham school in a bid raise funds for charity.
Pupils and staff at Brynteg Primary school, along with family members, took part in a Race for Life for Cancer Research UK.
About 200 children walked, jogged and ran around the school grounds to raise funds for the charity on Friday.
Rachael Connell, headteacher, said: "We've done this Race for Life for the last five years.
"We invite the children, their parents and their grandparents to either walk or run the three miles around the school."
The school raised a total of £380 from the event which will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
Mrs Connell added: "We chose this charity because cancer touches and affects so many people.
"The children had pieces of paper on their backs where they could write messages saying who they were running the race for.
"It was really touching to read them because some children were running for their grandparents."
Mrs Connell added that the event helped to bring the school closer together.
She said: "There was a real sense of community spirit with everybody there being different ages."
