QUEENS Park Scooter Club held their annual ride out, with over 200 people from across the UK bringing along their scooters for the event.
The army of scooters set off from The Turf, travelled through town to Rhostyllen, on to Johnstown and Ruabon, followed by a trip through the countryside to Bangor, before finishing back at the club’s home at the Kings Mills pub for live music.

Travel counsellor, Kath Williams, said: “Throughout the year the scooter club holds various fundraising events to support local charities, culminating in the May Day Ride Out which attracts scooter riders from all over the country.
“This year the headline act, Essex based band The Regents, were brought up from the south of England for their first ‘up north’ performance and they were afforded a huge warm welcome in Wales.
“A big thank you to everyone that attended another hugely successful event”
The event was aimed at raising money for various local charities following on from the scooter club’s previous good work when they braved the elements to deliver Easter gifts to the children and staff at the Maelor hospital in Wrexham.
