THE ROCK will be rocking on Sunday with Huw Griffiths’ Cefn Druids just a game away from qualifying for the Europa League.
Druids now know they’ll be up against Cardiff Met in next Sunday’s Welsh Premier League Euro play-off - and with home advantage, they will go into the game as favourites.
“Our destiny is in our own hands,” said Griffiths. “It came into our hands when we played Cardiff Met and we’ve dealt with the pressure.
“I believe in the players and they believe in what we are asking them to do.”
Cardiff won’t be pushovers, especially after brushing aside Barry Town United in Saturday’s play-off.
Christian Edwards’ side triumphed 4-1 with Adam Roscrow scoring twice.
Will Evans and an own goal secured victory with Jonathan Hood grabbing a late consolation for Barry.
Druids could make it a North Wales foursome in Europe with Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints joined by Connah’s Quay Nomads and Bala Town.
And Bala Town have announced that Les Davies will be leaving Maes Tegid.
Davies’ contract has not been renewed for the 2018/19 season and the former Bangor City and Nomads’ striker could be a wanted man.HUW
