More than 100 people turned out to help a designated walking organisation celebrate its 15th year anniversary.
Walkabout Flintshire undertook a walk around the town from Flint Leisure Centre to commemorate their 15 years of walks across across the county.
The event on Monday attracted 130 walkers of all abilities, with three walks taking place to cater for these numbers; one at a normal pace, one intermediate and one fast.
The walks finished at the Old Court House café in Flint, where the walkers enjoyed tea and cakes.
Member, Stan Jones, said: ‘’The idea of our walks isn’t only about maintaining a healthy lifestyle, it’s also about socialising. If people are feeling lonely and without people to talk to, our walking groups are the perfect answer to this.’’
Mr Jones urged more budding walkers to join Walkabout, adding, ‘’We’re always looking for people to join Walkabout, regardless of the speed they can walk at, it’s not about how fast you can walk, but about enjoying a healthy lifestyle.’’
