POLICE investigating a serious assault in Wrexham last week have charged three people.

They have also released several others under investigation following an arrest operation across Wrexham county borough, Cheshire and Shropshire.

Officers were called to an address in Almond Grove, Rhosnesni, at about 1.20pm on Monday, April 2, following reports of an assault in which a local man sustained serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

As a result of the police operation last week Marvyn Frantzen, 30, of Kings Close, Wrexham, appeared before Flintshire Magistrates Court this morning charged with wounding, aggravated burglary and possession of a bladed article.

Shaun Coleman 26, from Liverpool, also appeared charged with firearms offences along with Hannah Thomas, 23, from Penley, between Whitchurch and Wrexham, who was charged with firearms offences.

All three have been remanded in custody.

Meanwhile, a 26-year-old woman from Llangollen, a 39-year-old woman from Liverpool, a 38-year-old man from Wrexham and a 31-year-old man and an 18-year-old man, both from Liverpool, have been released under investigation.
