A MAN from Wrexham has admitted manufacturing a home-made tazer device.
Thomas Cheshire-Towell, 24, appeared in the dock at Mold Crown Court.
He admitted manufacturing the tazer between January and October 2017 and possessing it in October without the authority of the Secretary of State.
Cheshire-Towell, of Plas Acton Road in Wrexham, was bailed by Judge Rhys Rowlands pending sentence next month.
Defence barrister Mark Connor said it was a rather unusual case, his client did not have any previous convictions, and said the defence would be seeking an expert’s report on the tazer.
But the defence expert would need access to the tazer for that to be done, access which, he said, had earlier been refused.
Judge Rowlands said there was no reason why an expert should not have access to it.
