Wrexham and Chester will be going all out for victory in Sunday’s high noon showdown at The Racecourse.

The Reds need points to keep their play-off dreams alive while the Blues want wins to prevent them from falling through the National League trapdoor.

Wrexham boss Dean Keates, who watched Chester’s 2-0 home defeat to Dover on Tuesday, reckons the Blues will come across the border with an attacking mentality.

And in Dom Vose, the visitors have a player Wrexham fans will know all about.

“I enjoyed Wrexham, I really enjoyed my time there,” said Vose, who has not been back to a former club throughout his career.

“It is a good game to play in back at The Racecourse. I will see some old faces but from a football perspective we have got to go there and get a result. It will be weird and I’ve not played there since, and I’ll probably run out and warm up on the opposite side because it’s what I’m used to.

“Hopefully I can recreate that goal for Chester. They still owe me the trophy for winning their best goal!”
