FUNDING could be available to improve a town bus station.

At Mold Town Council's monthly meeting, town centre manager Dave Hill said he had been approached by Flintshire Council about transport support funding.

He suggested it could be an opportunity to "improve" the town's bus station and that members could come up with a "wishlist" which could be looked at by the town council' community, development and regeneration committee.

Mr Hill added: "It could be a chance to look at the loos, an upgrade of the bus shelters, the lighting."

Flintshire Council is also looking to try and help businesses in Buckley source funding for upgrading their shop fronts.

At this month's meeting of Buckley Town Council, town centre manager Andy White said he had been in touch with Flintshire Council's enterprise and regeneration manager Niall Waller.

Mr White said there are three businesses in the Buckley area interested in regenerating their shop fronts, and that they were looking at grants they may be able to secure to carry out the work.
