YSCEIFIOG 1
CEFN 1
THE last remaining 100 per cent winning record this season may be over, but Cefn were relieved to see their unbeaten run remain intact.
Sion Evans’ Ysceifiog bossed the second half of this Thursday night clash and only a spirited defensive showing denied them all three points.
Cefn took a 1-0 lead into the break courtesy of a Floyd Richards header from Gethin Roberts’ corner, although Ysceifiog felt they had cleared the effort off the line.
The Flintshire outfit continued to battle and they enjoyed much the better of things in the second period.
Danny Jones struck the woodwork with a couple of free kicks, but the home side’s reward finally arrived a quarter-of-an-hour from the final whistle when Andy Rooke found the back of the net.
