YSCEIFIOG 8
LLANGYNHAFAL 4

SUMMER League’s goal-den season continued with a terrific 12 goals at Ysceifiog.

After trailing twice in the first half, the hosts eventually came good, thanks in the main to a four-goal showing from Tim Hughes.

Tirion Roberts had already had three shots at goal, before a fine effort from Tom Dyer gave Llangynhafal the lead, however, within minutes Danny Jones dragged the Flintshire hosts level.

Back came Llangynhafal and they regained the upper hand with Tirion Roberts on the scoresheet.

The turning point came after Tim Hughes finished the first half with a brace of goals to put Ysceifiog 3-2 to the good at the break.

Ysceifiog got a couple of goals early in the second half and from that point there was no way back for the visitors.

Liam Jones (penalty) and Tom Seddon did register second half strikes for Llangynhafal, but they were second best as Tim Hughes bagged four goals on the night.

Ysceifiog’s remaining goals came from Danny Jones, Tom Carney and star man Shaun Edwards.

For Llangynhafal, an energetic display from Tirion Roberts gave him the man of the match nod.
