CHRISTMAS will come early for some lucky Super Furry Animals fans, as frontman Gruff Rhys plays a special sold out show at The Live Rooms, Wrexham, on Friday, December 7.

As well as fronting the legendary Welsh band, Gruff was also half of the Mercury Nominated outfit Neon Neon, and has released five critically acclaimed solo albums to date including this year's Babelsberg.

Gruff’s band who comprise of drummer Kliph Scurlock (ex-Flaming Lips) and multi-instrumentalists Stephen Black (Sweet Baboo) and Osian Gwynedd have just returned to the UK from a European tour taking in France, Germany, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark and Ireland where they have received rave reviews.

For those who missed out on tickets for the show, promoters FOCUS Wales have announced over 100 acts set to play the festival in May, including: The Lovely Eggs, Boy Azooga, Neck Deep, Skindred, and BC Camplight.
