SOUL legend Alexander O'Neal has been forced to reschedule his eagerly awaited date in Wrexham.

The Criticize hitmaker was due to perform at William Aston Hall on Friday, November 16, but has now moved the date to Friday April 19, 2019.

A spokesperson for O'Neal's promoters said: "Due to circumstances beyond our, and the artist's control, the Alexander O'Neal dates in Wrexham and Liverpool have been rescheduled to April 2019.

"All current tickets remain valid and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause."

The singer, from Minneapolis, has been touring the UK celebrating 30 years of his hit Hearsay album which featured his huge worldwide hit Criticize.

The album sold nearly 1m copies in the UK alone, and to this day O'Neal still holds the record as the only performer to sell-out six consecutive nights at London’s Wembley Arena.

Alexander O'Neal appears at the William Aston Hall on Friday, April 19 at 7pm. Tickets costing £32.45 are available on 0844 888 9991 or by visiting www.thewilliamastonhall.com
