Inspired by the Easter holidays, we joined up with the team at the Welsh Mountain Zoo for a prize giveaway.

We asked readers to share a photo of one of their favourite family days out, to be in with the chance of wining a family ticket for the North Wales attraction.

And we share just some of those fun-filled moments here, and our lucky winner, Samantha Price, from Saltney Ferry.

Samantha Price, from Saltney Ferry: Me and my daughter at the zoo. She had her face painted as a giraffe that day. She absolutely loves animals and the zoo is her favourite place to visit.

• The Welsh Mountain Zoo is the perfect day out for all ages.

The popular venue is set on one of the most picturesque and unique landscapes for any UK Zoo, occupying some 37 acres of lush green landscape overlooking Colwyn Bay and the Carneddau mountains.

The zoo is home to over 140 species, including some big cats - Sumatran tigers and margays - and Eurasian brown bears.

Your own cheeky monkeys will love to check out the zoo's primates, including chimpanzees, spider monkeys, lar gibbons and cotton top tamarins.

There are so many animals to see, from mammals and birds to reptiles and amphibians.

For some of the zoo's littlest visitors, the is the Children's Farm, featuring a cute group of fun and furry animals. Guinea pigs, chickens, ducks and rabbits live at the farm, housed in spacious enclosures where they can run, hop, strut and swim.

A visit to Welsh Mountain Zoo really is a full day experience, and there are plenty of options to make the most of it.

There is the Penguin Cafe, with panoramic views across the estuary, overlooking the penguin and chimpanzee enclosures.

Or tuck in at the zoo's flagship Safari Restaurant, right next to the Sumatran tigers enclosure.
