Just over three years ago the Leader Camera Club was launched, and now has more than 880 members from across Wrexham, Flintshire and beyond.

In our latest feature - Behind the Lens - we meet some of those in the group who share their images and take part in challenges, contributing to the galleries in print and online.

When and why did you take up photography?

I originally started when my son was born 12 years ago but after this I didn't really have time. But I picked the camera up again about seven years ago.

What do you love about taking pictures?

Story telling, allowing people to see what's happened through photography.

Where is your favourite place to take pictures and why?

Anywhere with wildlife, Moss Valley and Errdig for example. Sports venues too, I do a lot of sports and also Snowdonia, as I like photographing the military doing low level training.

What equipment do you use?

I'm lucky to be able to now own two Canon 7d mkii camera bodies, I have various lenses but my Sigma 150 to 600 sport lens is normally on the camera.

What do you enjoy about being part of the Leader Camera Club?

Sharing photos and inspiring others to get out and visit locations.

If you could photograph anyone or any place who/what would it be?

Northern Lights in Iceland I think would be next.
