The Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) (England) Regulations 2003
The Council approved a recommendation from its Independent Remuneration Panel to make minor amendments to the Members Allowance Scheme. The scheme applies to 31 /3/19. The amendments are as follows: the following underlying principles be applied: One Special Responsibility Allowance (SRA] per Member to be paid; The Basic Allowance to be used as the basis from which all SRA's are calculated, which will continue the existing practice of contributing towards the costs of all household utilities (to include Broadband); and the following recommendations were approved: The Main Opposition Deputy Group Leader receive an SRA; The Scrutiny Committee Chairmen receive an SRA; The Scheme reflect current job titles and minor changes as discussed; an SRA be introduced for the Council's Member representative on the Fostering and Adoption Panels; Dependent Carer be paid at the Council's Adult Social Care allowance rate and Children's Carer Allowances be paid at the Cheshire West and Chester Local Living Wage.
