Williams The funeral of Richard Medlicott Williams of Acton Park who passed away peacefully on 7 March at age 94 whilst residing at Emral House Nursing Home, Wrexham, took place on Thursday 22 March at Pentrebychan Crematorium the service was conducted Mr Martin Baldry. Richard leaves a son Alan, a daughter-in-law Jennifer and a brother Victor. Richard worked in Monsanto for 22 years before becoming Area Secretary for the EEPTU. A Normandy Veteran, he received The Chevalier De La Legion D'honneur in 2016. Those attending the service were as follows: Gary Williams, Phil Williams, Linda Williams, Helen Bramwell, Martin & Beverly Walsh, Wendy Griffith, Daniel Law, Alexandra Law, Angela Crewe, Maldwyn Watkin, Bryan & Jill Willeard, John & Wendy Kirman, Clive & Janet Roberts, Gill Venables, Stephanie & Barry Evans, Marleen Rutter, Charmaine Rutter, Owen & Amanda Rutter, Marjorie Davies, Ann Evans, Barbara Robinson, Dave Ellis, Margaret Valk, Ted Wildey, Colin Laycock. Special thanks to Mr Ted Edwards Normandy Veteran for reciting a famous verse of remembrance during the service. Family flowers were provided by Alan and Jenny, Victor and family also by Angela and family, Beverley and family and Wendy and family. A buffet was held at the Cunliffe Arms following the ceremony.
