LARRIE CHARLES BEATTIE On Sunday 2nd August, Larrie Charles Beattie, originally from Llay, Wrexham, passed away peacefully in his sleep. Husband to Margaret, father to David, Susan, Paul and Steven, grandfather to Christopher, Arron, Alice, Melinda, Kelly, Samuel, Ellie, great-grandfather to Jasper and a loyal friend to many. This devastating loss has rippled through our family, the local community and across the globe. The widespread admiration and solidarity has provided much solace for our family and epitomises our beloved Grandad perfectly; a wonderful gentleman, who could walk with Kings yet not lose the common touch. Whether Larrie was spearheading the family, sharing comical anecdotes, offering his stewardship, innovating the local art community, or forging his illustrious global engineering career, he always remained true to his core values. He was a man of honour, blessed with integrity, courage, panache and soul. He possessed an infectious laugh that would cut through any crowd. A beloved father, besotted husband, amazing brother, and a legendary Grandad whom we are proud to have been blessed with as a father-figure for many decades. Our hero, pre-chopper club captain, champion, confidante and forever our friend. The love we have for you is all-encompassing and we owe you more than you could ever know. Forever and always in our hearts. What a cracker.
