DEAN KEATES is targeting the perfect 10 in the run-in to give Wrexham a chance of winning automatic promotion.

Wrexham sit sixth in the National League, eight points behind leaders Macclesfield Town who also have a game in hand, with the Reds losing ground after drawing nine times in their 12 match unbeaten run.

A number of teams are challenging for a top-seven finish, and Wrexham have 10 games remaining to try and realise their goal.

Keates is aiming for a winning run going down the final straight so Wrexham give themselves the best chance of going up.

"It is there for everybody, it has been all season," said Keates. "It is tight and Macclesfield are in the driving seat.

"We have got 10 games to go and our aim is to win 10 games if possible.

"We have got to win every single match to give ourselves a chance and the best chance for the club to go forward.

"We know what we are up against and we will deal with it game by game, but to give ourselves the best chance to be right in the mix we have to be looking at winning as many games as we can."
