MIKE FONDOP admits he should have scored in Wrexham's last match against Harrogate Town.

The sides, who meet in the FA Cup fourth qualifying round on Saturday at Wetherby Road, faced each other at the same venue in the National League just three weeks ago.

The clash between the high-fliers finished in a goalless draw but Wrexham created the better chances and leading scorer Fondop found Harrogate goalkeeper James Belshaw in fantastic form.

Belsham made two superb saves to prevent Fondop adding to his five goal tally, earning the Harrogate stopper the man of the match award.

"I had a good game at Harrogate and should have scored two goals to be honest," said Fondop.

"But I read somewhere that there are two types of striker; those that when they don't score they don't do anything and others who give a lot to the team when they don't score, and I believe that's what I did that day.

"The ball just didn't go in the net and the goalkeeper was the man of the match."
