CEFN DRUIDS' Europa League qualifying players will be given time to celebrate their achievements - but it's business as usual for boss Huw Griffiths.

A 1-0 win over Cardiff Met, courtesy of a goal from James Davies, saw Druids win the Welsh Premier League play-off final to secure a place in the preliminary round of the Europa League.

And while Griffiths will allow his player the chance to bask in glory, he is straight back to work given his knowledge of the Europa League, for which he led Druids into back in 2012.

"I'm chuffed and it won't settle down for a while, but I'm straight back to work," said Griffiths. "I'm back to my day job straight away and I'm speaking with the chairman before he goes away.

"We will enjoy the moment, although the players will be able to enjoy it a little bit more. The lads will get a week, maybe two off, but it's back to planning for me.

"I had all of our pre-season programme worked out with my staff, and worked out for us not qualifying for the Europa League, so that will need to be worked on. Some of it we will keep, but some needs changing now.

"Then we need to look at medicals for Europe and how, where and when we need to do things for the competition, so it's business as usual, although I probably wouldn't have met the chairman quite so soon if we hadn't have won."

Griffiths, who afforded himself only a few hours of reflection with a glass of Champagne, also reserved special praise for his backroom staff.

Assistant manager Jayson Starkey, coach Dave Taylor, performance analysts Ash Thomas and Liam Jones and physio Jon Morris are amongst those saluted by Griffiths.

" I'm pleased for the players and hopefully they will be talked about in the same light as others now," continued Griffiths. "But I'm also delighted for my backroom staff, who do a lot of hard work.

"The backroom staff all deserve to have their names up in lights, but unfortunately I'm the manager and it will be me who get the focus. They deserve so much credit for all that they do."

Druids will find out who they face in the Europa League preliminary round when the draw is made on Tuesday, June 12.

There are 14 teams, seven of which are seeded, who will feature in the preliminary round, which takes place over two legs on Thursday, June 28 and Thursday, July 5.

Nathan Peate and Neil Ashton, meanwhile, picked up more than the play-off final trophy on Sunday as they won individual awards.

Impressive centre-back Peate won the supporters' player and players' player of the year honours with captain Ashton lifting the directors' player of the year award.
