CONNAH'S QUAY NOMADS have wasted little time in strengthening their squad with the signing of Danny Holmes.
The former Football League defender joins Nomads on the back of a successful season in the Welsh Premier League with Bangor City.
Full-back Holmes made 33 appearances for the Citizens, who finished second in the table before being relegated to the Cymru Alliance after failing to obtain a domestic licence.
Holmes, who has played for the likes of Tranmere Rovers and Fleetwood Town, will add further experience to the Nomads' defence ahead of their Europa League campaign later this summer.
On signing Holmes, Nomads boss Andy Morrison said: "We're absolutely delighted to welcome Danny Holmes to Connah's Quay.
"For me, Danny was the outstanding full-back in the league last season and he further strengthens our squad going forward."
