A CAREER-BEST 92 was not enough to prevent David Lloyd from feeling disappointed as Glamorgan lost to Middlesex by two runs in the One-Day Cup.

The all-rounder looked set to lead Glamorgan to victory with 92 from 75 balls, including five fours and five sixes, before being dismissed.

With the former Brymbo ace gone Glamorgan's hopes of winning faded away.

Lloyd, who will be back in action at Kent tomorrow, told Glamorgan's website: "I've got mixed emotions really, it would have been better to win the game and personally I'm a bit disappointed as I would have preferred to get the team over the line.

"There are some positives to take from the game, compared to the first two games."

Lloyd and captain Colin Ingram put on 126 for the fourth wicket, the former adding: "When I came in with Colin we had to graft again and we did that but once he was out we lost some momentum.

"We tried and hopefully we can take this experience and get that win at Kent."
