ALL eyes will be on Central Park on Sunday as Connah’s Quay tackle Northop Hall for a place in round two of the Welsh Cup.

For Quay it’s a chance to measure themselves against an in-form team from another league, while captain Martin Burger will be coming up against his former side.

Burger said: “I’m really looking forward to it. It will be good to face my old club and it should be a good game.”

Hall skipper Dave Kennedy is also relishing the tie, saying: “It will be a decent game and we will putting out as strong a team as possible.”

Just down the road, Northop host Llandudno with team manager Dale Harley saying: “The Welsh Cup is important to us. We enjoyed the Village Knockout and this is just as important.”

Darren Williams and Gareth Williams are doubts for Northop.

Colwyn Bay lie in wait for Gresford on Sunday with visiting captain Chris Ellwood confident of causing an upset.

Gresford got their North Wales Premier Division season up and running over the weekend as they played out a tie with Llandudno before beating Chirk two days later.

On the challenge of Bay, who lifted the prestigious competition in 2015, Ellwood said: “The lads are looking forward to it and we should be close to full strength.”

Buckley host Abergele from the league above and Denbigh entertain Mochdre, while Brymbo have progressed to round two after Gwersyllt Park conceded, and Hawarden Park have conceded their trip to Dolgellau.
