Lewis Cole was the star of the show as his century inspired Gwersyllt Park to a 213-run home win over Mynydd Isa in Division Two.

After being asked to bat first, teenager Cole plundered 113 at the top of the order, and with Ian Pearson (49), George Miles (34) and Lee Beer (33) also in the runs, Gwersyllt posted 262 for six.

In reply, Isa came nowhere near claiming so much as a point as they were skittled for just 49, Phil Bradfield top scoring with 26.

Ryan Williams enjoyed his day as he helped Marchwiel and Wrexham secure a 40-run win at Carmel and District.

Williams top scored with 60 as Marchwiel posted 168 for five, Nick Husbands adding 39 as Michael Harrison took 2-8 from his 10 overs.

The impressive Williams then claimed 2-17, and with Anthony Morris picking up 2-19, Carmel were restricted to 128 for nine.

Gresford Seconds produced a solid all-round performance and they overcame Menai Bridge Seconds by 29 runs in the Second XI Premier Division.

Craig Morse struck an unbeaten half century and George Morris added 45 not out as Gresford posted 164 for five after winning the toss.

Ross Willets and Alex Morton then bagged three wickets apiece and Jack Bunkell grabbed two victims as Menai were bowled out for 135.

Brymbo Seconds were equally impressive as they defeated Carmel and District Seconds by 37 runs.

George Bourne struck a half century and Gareth Pugh added 35 as Brymbo posted 14 for nine, despite 4-40 from Nick Hughes and Dafydd Timothy’s 3-35.

Terry Jones proved the key for Brymbo after the turnaround as he pocketed 4-15 from seven overs to help restrict Carmel to 104 for eight, Dafydd Bailey top scoring with 29.

Llay Welfare Seconds were also victorious as they held their nerve to beat Bangor Seconds by six runs.

Joe Howell (41) and Mike Phennah (35) were in the runs as Llay posted 163 for eight after winning the toss.

Tom Parry’s 3-17 and two wickets apiece from David Wright, Jacob Roberts and Howell made sure that Llay were able to defend their total, despite Jamie Davies’ 52 for Bangor.

Craig Roberts will have counted himself unlucky to have finished on the losing side as Mold Seconds were beaten at Marchwiel and Wrexham Seconds by five wickets in the Second XI East Division.

Roberts struck 54 as Mold posted 131 for four from their allotted 40 overs having been asked to bat first, before the leg-spinner claimed 2-23 after the turnaround.

Despite Roberts impressive performance, Nicholas Woodcock (33 not out) and James Spencer (30) did enough to lead Marchwiel to victory with two balls to spare.

Mold Thirds made it two wins from two as they eased to a seven-wicket home win over Northop Thirds in the Sunday Third Division.

Leo Grieg scored 46 of Northop's 90 all out, Liam Davies (3-22), Hugh Archdale (2-11) and Lewis Pringle (2-21) combining impressively.

Gareth Davies (41no) and Archdale (21) then combined to help Mold to victory with 10 overs to spare, Owen Coppack taking two of the three wickets to fall.

Luke Bodman hit 40 and Richard Collett claimed 3-18 as Carmel and District Thirds (117-5) won by five wickets at Llandudno Thirds (116-9), while Mathew Edge's 4-13 proved in vain as Buckley Thirds (117-9) lost to Menai Bridge Thirds (177-9) by 60 runs.
