SAUGHALL bounced back to winning ways with a resounding 162 run home victory against Kerridge.

The visitors  bowled first and reduced Saughall to 37 for four with Chris Andrews (21) the only batsman to threaten to break the shackles.

Run machine Adam Griffiths rescued Saughall and he was once again the backbone of the innings, scoring 86 not out while Shaun Watts notched a superb 56 not out as the pair added an unbeaten 152 fifth wicket partnership.

Saughall, who are now second in the Cheshire League Division Five table, finished on 189 for four and despite plundering 297 the week before, Kerridge were undone by Saughall skipper Alen Roberts.

Roberts went on to grab 5-12 as Kerridge were reeling at 14 for eight.

Spinner Chris Andrews played his part with 4-15 as the visitors were dismissed for just 28.
