Pontblyddyn finally ended their wait for a Premier Division win by beating Flintshire rivals Northop by eight wickets.

The men from Alder Meadow had struggled for form during the opening weeks of the season, but they produced a timely display to defeat Northop.

Kevin Owen (4-23), Glenn Chambers (3-31) and Rhys Jones (2-20) impressed with the ball as Northop were bowled out for just 130, Matthew Williams top scoring with 33.

Opening batsman Chris Moss (35) got Pontblyddyn's response off to a positive start, before Mark Poynton removed him and Chris Myles.

But skipper Ben Mason (43 not out) and Chambers (29 not out) saw Pontblyddyn home with 20 overs to spare.

James Claybrook and Steve Kelshaw combined as Brymbo defeated Bangor by five wickets.

Francois Mostert led from the front as Bangor eased their way to 212-5 from 50 overs, the overseas pro finishing unbeaten on 105.

But Claybrook (75) and Kelshaw (68 not out) made sure that Brymbo claimed another impressive victory with 50 balls to spare.

Hawarden Park produced a spirited performance in their 90-run defeat at the hands of reigning champions Menai Bridge.

Robbie Jones, dropped on 12, crashed 96 not out from 60 balls and Matt Bixby, who also given a life, hit 54 as Menai posted a challenging 260-8, Sam Underhill and Craig Wilson sharing six wickets.

In reply, Tom Ducker struck 34, Chris Cousens hit a half century and Adam Doyle added 33.

But it was not enough as Menai's Ashley Wood picked up 6-45 to bowl Hawarden out for 170.

Connah’s Quay continued their winning streak with a two-run triumph over Llandudno.

Martin Burger hit 77 as Quay posted 220 all out, a total that proved just enough, thanks largely to the bowling of David Fox (4-44).

Robbie Ward blasted an outstanding unbeaten 192 – but that went without reward as Marchwiel and Wrexham were beaten by eight wickets at the hands of Conwy in Division One.

Ward struck 18 fours and a six in his eye catching innings, which helped Marchwiel post 299-6 from their 50 overs.

All-rounder Ward also picked up a wicket in the Conwy reply, but Shaun Davies hit 135 not out to see the visiting side home with 17 balls to spare.

Buckley's bowlers took the plaudits as they defeated Gresford by 47 runs.

Gareth Fox (31), Simon Nicholls (28) and Phil Bradfield (22) helped

Buckley reach 141-9 from their 50 overs, Jack Bunkell (3-33) starring for Gresford, who saw Chris Ellwood, Simon Perry and John Bell share six wickets.

Buckley's total was more than enough as opening bowlers Daniel Clubbe (3-23) and Lee Taylor (3-10) removed Gresford's main men.

Bunkell offered some resistance with 32, before being dismissed by

Adam Shaw, who wrapped up the tail to finish with 3-20 and bowl Gresford out for 94.

Bersham produced an outstanding run chase to clinch an eight-wicket win at Menai Bridge 2nds.

Randheer Bandara pocketed three of the five Menai wickets to fall as the hosts made their way to 198-5, Sion Riley finishing 75 not out.

Bersham then made light of Menai's total as their top three all surpassed 50. Mohamed Nilam Jayman (66), Lakshitha Ehanayaha (58no) and Suresh Lakmal Koswathage (50) in the runs.

Mold made it two wins from two as they overcame visiting Dolgellau by five wickets.

Only Talor Williams (59) offered any resistance as Mold bowled the visitors out for 120, Usman Butt bagging 5-20 with Jamie Ryle (3-29) and Kyran Van Der Kooij (2-34) claiming the other wickets.

Butt (28), Dwayne Williams (25) and Heinrich Botes (35) did the bulk of the work in Mold's reply as they eased home inside 22 overs.

Despite fine bowling performances from Jamie Beale (4-31) and Tom Crewe (3-12), Llay Welfare lost to impressive hosts Bethesda by 58 runs.

Llanrwst were 35-run winners as they posted 191-9, before bowling Bodedern out for just 156.
